Job summary

Knife River Montana is seeking a Class A truck driver to safely transport asphalt and aggregate to job sites. You will inspect and maintain the truck, log hours, and work with the shop to address maintenance issues.

The role requires a medical card, a clean driving record and applicable endorsements, with a focus on safety and customer relations. Responsibilities include loading operations, route navigation, and accurate reporting on time cards and paperwork, with potential night duties and

Qualifications

• CDL Class A (tractor-trailer) license required; preference for End Dump with Pup or Belly Dump with Pup, Side Dump experience.
• Must have and maintain a medical card, an acceptable driving record and required endorsements.
• General education, grammar and arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A truck to transport asphalt or aggregate to job sites.
• Inspect truck and submit condition reports.
• Maintain driver logs per ICC regulations.
• May operate loader to load aggregate into truck box.
• Perform daily maintenance of equipment and communicate issues to the shop.
• Practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
• Hook and unhook trailer and tarp loads when needed.
• Report information accurately on daily time cards and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA and other safety regulations.
• Read maps and navigate to new locations.
• Work with minimum supervision and maintain positive customer relations.
