Cox Fleet in Wisconsin is seeking a CDL A Driver - Vehicle Porter to join our Shop Team, supporting the growth of a nationwide mobile and center-based fleet maintenance operation.

You will shuttle vehicles, pick up parts, and deliver excellent service while contributing to shop goals and safety standards. This role emphasizes reliable transportation, strong communication, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with related field experience.
• CDL A license required with 1–3 years driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and handle heavy equipment.
• Strong map/GPS reading and navigation skills.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle commercial vehicles between our shop and customers; be home every evening.

Cox Fleet is currently hiring a CDL A Driver - Vehicle Porter to join our Shop Team to support the future growth of the Company.

Duties:

• Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between our maintenance shop and our customers in the surrounding area - be home every evening.
• Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop.
• Provide excellent customer service by going above and beyond customers' expectations.
• Contributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.
• Maintains a safe and compliant working environment.
• Attend management meetings when requested.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years' experience in a related field.
• A valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.
• The ability to lift to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
• The ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system.
• Experience in positions demonstrates the ability to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Familiarity with the local geography.
• This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
• A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required.
• Due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
• Safe drivers needed and 3 YR MVR review required; Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver's license, be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.

USD 20.10 - 30.10 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

• Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
• Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
