Newco Distributors Inc in Hayward, California, United States is hiring a CDL Class A Driver to transport freight nationwide, adhering to all DOT rules and safety procedures.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, load/unload cargo, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries and issue resolution.

Requirements include a valid CDL Class A, 2+ years of Class A experience, knowledge of HOS rules, DOT screening, and experience with ELDs and GPS navigation.

Formación

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating Class A vehicles.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS).
• Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety inspection procedures.
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
• Must be able to do layover runs and touch freight.
• Able to operate warehouse equipment including electric pallet jack, hand truck and lift gate.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently over long distances.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that arise during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to minimize risks and ensure safe operation.
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimize route efficiency.
• Must be able to work with little supervision on the field.
