Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking CDL A drivers for regional routes with home weekly schedules. Trainees are welcome to apply and will receive training as needed. Expect to cover western US with 2500–2800 miles per week and no-touch freight, primarily drop-and-hook. Experienced drivers can bring a rider and pet from day one.

Benefits begin after 60 days and include medical, dental, 401K, and PTO, plus paid orientation and travel/hotel expenses for orientation.

Qualifications

• 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Must be 21+ years old and hold a valid Class A CDL.
• No DUI in the last 5 years in commercial vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Operate regional routes across the western US.
• Transport dry van freight with mostly drop and hook loads.
• Frequent home time; approximately weekly.
• Rider and pet may be allowed for experienced drivers from day one.

Class A drivers (including recent graduates that need training) run regionally,

• Get home once a week
• Average weekly pay $1400-$1800
• Drivers cover about 2500-2800 miles week
• Per mile pay based on experience and productivity.
• All freight is dry van and you will run the western US.
• Most of the freight being WY, MT, ID, CO, UT, OR
• 100% no touch with mostly drop and hook
• Experienced drivers can have a rider and pet from day one
• Benefits start after 60 days including medical, dental, 401K and PTO

Recent Graduates:

• Trainees must have VALID Class A CDL
• Minimum 120hr of driving in acredited trucking school
• Trainees must be willing to run OTR for the training period due to the lack of trainers on this account
• Paid training
• Training in duration of 4-6 weeks

Requirements:

• 6 months of verifiable experience
• Must be 21 with Valid Class A CDL
• ANY DOT preventable accident in the last 5 years is an auto
• No more than 2 preventable incidents
• Cannot have been terminated from last job due to safety concerns
• NO DUI in the last 5 years in commercial vehicle
• Never have failed a DOT or refused a drug alcohol
