Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking drivers for Laurel, MS, hauling dry van trailers along the eastern seaboard. Drivers will run 2,000–2,500 miles per week with home every two weeks, and start at $0.55 per mile with yearly raises.

A first solo dispatch includes a $1,000 weekly guaranteed pay for the first 3 months, plus $15 stop pay and potential performance bonuses. New drivers receive paid training with an experienced trainer and guaranteed weekly training pay, with full solo pay after training.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and be 21+ years old.
• 6 months OTR in last 12 months or 12+ months in last 5 years.
• Two moving violations or fewer in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• Clean DUI/DWI history for 5–10 years depending on CDL date.

Responsibilities

• Drive eastern seaboard dry van routes.
• Maintain safe operation and comply with DOT regulations.
• Make deliveries within route and home every 2 weeks.

Pay

• $1,200 to $1,800 average weekly gross
• $0.55 per mile to start, +1 cent for each additional year, up to $0.65
• $1,000 weekly guaranteed pay for your first 3 months after first solo dispatch
• $15 stop pay, performance bonus

Routes

• Up and down the eastern seaboard
• 2,000 to 2,500 miles a week
• Home every 2 weeks

New Drivers

• Paid training with an experienced trainer
• Guaranteed weekly training pay
• Full solo pay after

Who Can Apply

• Class A CDL, 21 or older
• Brand new drivers: proof of 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
• 2 moving violations or fewer in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
• Clean DUI/DWI history for 5 to 10 years, based on when you got your CDL
• Able to pass a DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing
• Live within 200 miles of Mobile, AL
