Job summary

Penske is hiring immediate full-time Class A CDL truck drivers in Chicago, IL. You will operate late-model sleeper cab tractors on backhaul routes across 48 states, with trips typically 8 to 10 days and routes designed to return you to your home domicile.

The position offers an average of about $110,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package including paid vacation from day one, health care coverage, retirement benefits, and a strong referral program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with <=2 moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency required by federal law

Responsibilities

• Deliver garage doors & related components to customer locations
• Pick up and deliver backhaul freight across multiple states
• Complete live load and live unload deliveries
• Manage 5 to 6 stops per week while maintaining route efficiency
