Job summary

Crystal Clean LLC is seeking a CDL A Driver to support our environmental waste services. The role requires Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving, and experience in hazardous waste management.

You will operate Class A trucks, assist laborers, and ensure safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance on site. Strong organizational skills, ability to complete paperwork with accuracy, and a team-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid California Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• 2–5 years of heavy equipment driving and operation experience.
• 1–5 years of hazardous waste control and environmental services industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps)
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Manual labor on site to ensure fulfillment of customer needs.
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements.
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Good attitude.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Commercial driver experience.

• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Roll-off experience.
• 120-barrel Vac-Tanker experience.
• Ability to operate manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
• Well organized.
• Lab-Pack / Loose Pack, Waste segregation experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Punctual, on-time.

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
• Read and write in English.
• Properly fill out and complete necessary paperwork daily with no errors.
• Understand and use ELD.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
• Current California Class B Commercial Driver License, required. Class A preferred.
• Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement, required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER required.
• 2 – 5 years of experience in heavy equipment driving and operation required.
• 1 – 5 years of hazardous waste control and environmental services industry experience preferred.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong attention to detail with a distraction-free driving style.
• Comprehensive understanding of logistics systems.
• Safety conscious.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Pull/push 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent daily basis.
• Twist and turn in full range of motion in arms, hands, torso, neck, back, and legs on a frequent daily basis.
• Lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted on a frequent daily basis.
• Typing/data entry on a frequent daily basis
• Equipment used: industrial cleaning and heavy equipment
• Exposed to all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.

Salary Range: $32.00- $35.00
