Job summary

American Driver in Memphis recruits drivers for our regional fleet, offering weekly gross pay between 1,200 and 1,500 with a guaranteed minimum on short loads and full CPM for longer runs. Expect 34-hour resets, ~1,800 miles weekly, 100% no-touch freight, and newer tractors. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401k, PTO, and 24/7 support.

Pets/riders welcome from day one. OTR trainer paths exist with guaranteed weekly pay during training and potential annual earnings growth.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license held in the US or territories for 12+ consecutive months
• Current Class A CDL from only one state
• 3+ months tractor-trailer (40ft+) experience in the last 36 months, or Extended Road Test eligible (6 months in last 5 years, or 12 months in last 10)
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no preventable CMV accidents in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 jobs in the last 12 months
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years (5 years if before holding CDL-A)
• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug test, plus DOT physical

Let's talk numbers first. Our Memphis Regional Fleet is built for drivers who want to see the math before they sign on.

What's In Your Check:

• Mileage pay based on your experience level
• Average weekly gross lands between $1,200 and $1,500
• Guaranteed minimum pay on shorter customer-to-customer loads under 300 miles, full CPM rate applies at 301+ miles
• $12.50 per hour detention after your first 2 hours (or higher where required by law)
• $100 per day for layover or breakdown (or higher where required by law)
• The Drive to Thrive bonus adds up to 3 CPM based on safety, mileage, and productivity, starting your first full month after hire (must be active OTR company driver at payout)
• $3,000 sign-on bonus, split into $1,500 at your 90-day mark and $1,500 at 6 months

On the Road:

• Weekly home time built in for your 34-hour reset
• Running about 1,800 miles per week, depending on HOS and freight availability
• 100% no-touch freight, split 50 to 60% drop and hook, 40 to 50% live unload
• Newer equipment: 2021+ Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth tractors

Trainer Opportunity:

Drivers with a year of OTR experience and 30 days with the company can step into a trainer role, guaranteed $250 per week while training plus $0.05 CPM on miles over 1,875/week, with potential to earn $20,000 or more annually.
