Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Class A CDL Driver in Baton Rouge, LA, to deliver equipment to customers safely, timely, and courteously. You’ll be a company ambassador and, as a local employee, you’ll be home every night.

Position entails operating equipment, maintaining logs, and providing excellent customer service. Requirements include a valid CDL-A, high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") compatible with CDL-A.
• Adhere to safety requirements including FMCSRs.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
