Job summary

Empower Rental Group is hiring a CDL-A driver in Foley, AL. The driver will safely transport rental equipment to job sites, load/unload, and perform basic maintenance while upholding DMCSA regulations.

Strong customer service and clean driving record required. The role involves staying compliant with hours-of-service rules, performing daily vehicle inspections, and occasionally traveling overnight for long-distance deliveries.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Firm understanding of company driving policies and road rules.
• Maintains a driving record that meets parameters for the company and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Transport rental equipment and products to and from customer sites using a CDL A truck; ensure safe delivery.
• Keep truck and tools in good condition and perform preventive maintenance per instructions.
• Build relationships with clients and deliver positive interactions.
• Maintain a neat appearance and professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and communicate schedule updates.
• Perform repairs to delivered units as needed.
• Complete DOT logs daily with an accurate signed paper log.
• Comply with FMCSA hours-of-service regulations and maintain permits.
• Travel overnight occasionally for long-distance deliveries.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Report needed maintenance to the Branch Manager promptly.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
