Job summary

Council for Airport Opportunity in Irvington, NJ is seeking a full-time CDL A Truck Driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle on designated routes, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain delivery logs in compliance with DOT rules.

You will coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams, assist with loading/unloading as needed, and uphold professional customer service during pickups and deliveries; weekend or holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.
• Experience in local or regional truck driving with route navigation and delivery schedules.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections, basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance needs accurately.
• Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks including lifting and securing freight.
• Reliable communication with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
• Strong attention to detail for completing logs and compliance paperwork.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience around airport or logistics environments is a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
