Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Local CDL-A Driver for Greenfield, IN. You will operate late-model Freightliner tractors, pulling 53’ reefer trailers to plants and distribution centers within a 300-mile radius.

Qualifications

• 1 year of CDL Class A driving experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with DOT and company standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs daily.
• Transport loads according to dispatch instructions with proper load security.
• Maintain accurate Hours of Service logs via ELD or paper logs.
• Report accidents, citations, and equipment defects promptly.
• Participate in scheduled driver safety meetings and required training programs.
• Keep assigned truck clean and report maintenance needs.
• Additional duties under weekly guarantee, including loading/unloading tasks.
