As a professional truck driver with Smithfield Foods, you are assigned late model Freightliner tractors to pull 53’ reefer trailers and are dispatched to our plants, company distribution centers, and customer distribution centers. May perform other duties as assigned.* Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) in compliance with DOT and company standards.* Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs daily.* Transport loads according to dispatch instructions, ensuring proper load security and biosecurity compliance.* Maintain accurate Hours of Service (HOS) logs via ELD or paper logs when required.* Report all accidents, citations, and equipment defects promptly.* Participate in scheduled driver safety meetings and required training programs.* Keep assigned truck clean and report maintenance needs.* Perform additional duties under weekly guarantee, including trailer washouts, fueling, spotting, weighing, and reporting maintenance issues.**WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
