Job summary

Reworld is hiring a CDL Driver III to support Field Services by operating vacuum trucks and related equipment to transport nonhazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials from the Milwaukee facility. This home-daily role requires strong mechanical aptitude and experience with manual transmission trucks, with rotating weekend availability.

You will perform pretrip inspections, assist with loading and offloading, and maintain clear communication with dispatch and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class A (Class B may be considered for highly experienced operators).
• Manual transmission proficiency required – all trucks are 10-speed or 13-speed.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and meet DOT medical requirements.
• HazMat Endorsement and Tanker Endorsement.

• Operate vacuum trucks (straightbody and semivac) to transport nonhazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials.
• Perform daily pretrip, enroute, and posttrip inspections on vehicles and equipment.

• Safely operate all equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and safety policy.
• Support field service work, including shop duties, staging equipment, and offloading materials.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch, field service leadership, and site personnel.
• Complete required paperwork including manifests, logs, timesheets, and inspection reports.
• Work collaboratively or independently depending on project scope.

About the role

The CDL Driver III is responsible for supporting Field Services operations by operating vacuum trucks, semivac units, and related fieldservice equipment to transport primarily nonhazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials. The role does include pulling hoses, offloading, and general taskbased labor associated with vacuum operations. Work may be performed independently or as part of a team and requires strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with manualtransmission equipment. This is a homedaily position with rotating weekend availability.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks (straightbody and semivac trucks) to transport nonhazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials such as caustics or acids.
• Perform daily pretrip, enroute, and posttrip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with loading, offloading, and jobsite labor; this is not a dropandhook driving position.
• Safely operate all equipment in accordance with DOT regulations, company safety policy, and jobsite requirements.
• Support field service work, including shop duties, staging equipment, and offloading materials when not on a transport run.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch, field service leadership, and site personnel throughout the workday.
• Ensure proper placarding only when required; most loads are nonhazardous.
• Accurately complete required paperwork including manifests, logs, timesheets, and inspection reports.
• Work collaboratively or independently depending on the project scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class A (Class B may be considered only for highly experienced vacuumtruck operators willing to obtain CDL A).
• Manual transmission proficiency required - all trucks are 10speed or 13speed.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old and meet all DOT medical requirements.
• HazMat Endorsement
• Tanker Endorsement

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior field services experience including manual labor, confinedspace environments, or industrial service work would be considered an asset.

Work Schedule & Structure

• Home daily / local work based out of the Milwaukee facility.
• Occasional travel to Illinois; these days may run up to 12 hours.
• Weekly hours average 50-55, with abundant overtime availability.
• Rotating weekend schedule; approximately one weekend every 1-2 months.

Equipment

• Vacuum trucks (straight body and semivac).
• All trucks are manual transmission.
• Slipseat work environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to walk, stand, climb, sit, bend, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to grip, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Must meet all functional and safety requirements of fieldservice environments.

Pay Transparency

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
