Job summary

Universal Logistics is a leading provider of customized transportation and logistics solutions, offering a comprehensive suite of services across the United States and Canada. We have immediate opportunities for drivers willing to work home daily on Michigan/Indiana lanes.

Responsibilities include operating Class A vehicles, performing thorough inspections, logging correctly, and maintaining DOT compliance. Benefits and paid time off are offered after the introductory period.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last year.
• Clean driving record with a strong safety history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Secure and handle freight as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits.
