Job summary

Airgas is hiring a CDL A Bulk Driver for Canton, OH. You will operate tractor-trailer units to transport compressed and liquefied industrial gases, performing safety inspections and required reports. The role includes nights and weekends, home daily with travel involved.

The position requires 3+ years of tractor-trailer experience, a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, and a minimum age of 21. Comprehensive benefits and retirement plan provided.

Responsibilities

• Complete required DOT and company reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Haul Argon, Nitrogen, and Oxygen and comply with safety procedures.

Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.

• Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed.
• Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor.
• Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.
• Tanker - Hauling Argon (LAR), Nitrogen (LIN), Oxygen (LOX)

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 3+ year experience as driver of tractor - trailer vehicles
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college or military technical experience
• Preferred, Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience
