Job summary

Miller Environmental Group in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a CDL Class A Driver / Field Laborer to support environmental services operations. This role combines driving duties with hands-on field labor in environmental remediation, waste transport, industrial cleaning, and spill response.

The position emphasizes safety, flexibility, and readiness for emergency response as well as scheduled projects. Training is provided, and advancement opportunities exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid, unrestricted CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate CDL vehicles and complete DOT documentation.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to get dirty and to work extended hours, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
• Must pass DOT, fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A vehicles safely and in DOT compliance.
• Drive tractor trailers, tankers, roll‑off, vacuum trucks and other CDL units.
• Transport materials between job sites, facilities, and disposal locations.
• Secure loads and label/placard hazardous materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT logs.
• Travel to weigh stations for load verification.
