Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, including overnight and shuttle runs. Routes start early, with dispatch windows from around midnight to early morning, and routes may require some Saturdays.

Salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, with full benefits starting Day 1 and a strong focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test.
• Pass criminal background check in post offer process.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Inspects tractor/trailer to meet safety standards and takes action as needed.
• Completes required paperwork accurately.
• Drives to deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products and assists with loading/unloading at customer locations.
• Reports safety hazards and coordinates with supervisor.
• Maintains daily hours-of-service records per regulations.
