Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a CDL-A driver to deliver and unload food products to customers in the Cincinnati area. You will operate tractor trailers or straight trucks, conduct safety inspections, and maintain accurate paperwork while building relationships with customers.

After training, observe a 4-day work week with early shift starts between 4am and 6am. Benefits include health, stock purchase, 401(k) matching, education assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor trailer or straight truck in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Delivers and unloads products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule.
• Performs pre/post trip safety inspections and reports any issues.
• Maintains accurate paperwork, invoicing, and checkpoint signatures.
• Secures cargo and ensures vehicle is locked and trailer doors are secured.
• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and team members.
