Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking CDL-A drivers to cover PTO and call-offs across intrastate and interstate routes. This Extraboard role offers mileage coverage, per diem, and hotels, with an average annual pay around $114,000+ and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits start Day 1 and include uniforms and safety boot allowance.

Drivers will deliver to customers, follow DOT regulations, and join a team focused on reliability, safety, and customer service across food distribution networks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Road test required.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Perform safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Drive and deliver orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products and secures freight.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.
• Record hours of service daily.
• Maintain vehicle and trailer safety and cleanliness.
