Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking driver trainees for a structured program. Training lasts 4 to 6 weeks with an experienced trainer, at $850 per week, and you’ll have your own truck after sign-off. A guaranteed $1,000 per week for the first 3 months solo follows the training.

After training, expect dry van freight up the eastern seaboard, home every two weeks, and about 2,500 miles per week. Pay ranges from $1,200 to $1,500 weekly gross, plus mileage, stop pay, and a performance bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL, 21 or older.
• New drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Dry van freight up and down the eastern seaboard.
• Loads stay east of the Mississippi.
• Home every two weeks.
• About 2,500 miles a week, mostly drop and hook.
