Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to haul hazardous and non-hazardous waste across our service areas. You will operate a variety of equipment, comply with safety rules, and support overnight runs as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL driver with clean driving record and ability to pass background check.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements required or pursued.
• Must be willing to obtain TWIC card and pass DOT drug screen.
• Experience with hazardous and non-hazardous waste hauling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely.
• Operate and maintain fleet equipment (vac tankers, roll-off, walking floor, etc.).
• Comply with all federal/state regulations and company standards.
• Report defects, incidents, or damage promptly.
• Possess ability to perform overnight runs when needed.

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver will be responsible for hauling Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste and must be experienced on all equipment. This includes the need to support operations during high demand times to ensure the success of the business.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, and safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials and operation of all fleet and facility equipment. Types of equipment include, but are not limited to: vac tankers, roll-off equipment, walking floor trailers, dump trailers
• Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment while maintaining appearance of company equipment to meet company standards.
• Interfacing and creating a Wow! Experience for our clients at the point of delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/ or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after pickups.
• Efficiently able to operate a manual transmission (no automatic restriction)
• Willing to do overnight runs
• Ability to make minor repairs is a plus (light bulbs, fuses, minor air leaks.
• Ability to identify and report equipment malfunction or damage

Requirements

• CDL Driver must have good driving history and pass background check.
• Valid Class A CDL w/ HazMat & Tanker Endorsements
• Must be willing to obtain TWIC Card.
• CDL Driver must pass DOT drug screen, physical, and road test.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Driving experience and tanker experience preferred

Physical Demands

• The employee must lift up to 50 pounds
• Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• This position will require wearing personal protective equipment.
• Ability to do repetitive motion (lifting, pulling, and loading hoses/pumping totes and drums)
