Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to help meet trench safety needs by delivering equipment safely, timely, and courteously.

You will be a company ambassador, interacting with customers and returning home every night, with opportunities for career growth. Your role includes unloading and loading equipment, operating trucks and cranes per specs, maintaining logs, and upholding safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A.
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Must also be able to operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety

Compensation Range: $29.80 - $44.65
