Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Phoenix, AZ is hiring immediately for CDL Class A drivers to transport trench and MAP shoring equipment, load/unload, and operate a knuckle boom crane on flatbeds at customer sites. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM, with possible 6 AM starts and on-call rotations.

You will earn $30–$35 per hour, paid weekly. Uniforms, equipment rental, and safety glasses are provided, with a vacation overtime benefit.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required with DOT Medical Card.
• Flatbed experience and loading/unloading experience required.
• NCCCO certification a plus, but not required; will operate knuckle boom crane.
• TWIC card a plus but not required.
• 80% of work involves transporting trench and MAP shoring to customer sites using knuckle boom flatbed trucks.
• 20% of work includes assembly, testing, inspection, power washing, inventory control and yard duties.
• Physical exertion up to 90 pounds.
• Maintain courteous, professional customer relations; drivers are an extension of sales.

Responsibilities

• Transport trench and MAP shoring to customer sites using various trucks (knuckle boom flatbed, semi, trailer).
• Load/unload and secure equipment at job sites.
• Perform yard duties, inventory checks, and equipment cleaning.
• Assist in testing and inspection of equipment as needed.

Have you got what it takes?

• Class A CDL License & DOT Medical Card is required - no wiggle room on this. (Sunstate will pay for DOT Medical card renewal if needed).


• Flatbed experience and loading/unloading experience required.


• NCCCO certification a plus, but not required. Will be driving a truck with Knuckle boom crane attached.


• TWIC card a plus but not required.


• 80% of work will be transporting Trench and MAP shoring to and from customer job sites using various trucks - knuckle boom flat bed, semi, and trailer trucks.


• 20% of work will include, but not limited to, assembly, testing, and inspection of equipment, power washing, inventory control and various yard duties.


• Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds


• Maintain customer relations by consistently being courteous, professional and helpful. Drivers are considered an extension of sales.
