Job summary

Maersk is seeking an OTR CDL A Day Cab Driver to haul freight from the CMH HUB. The role requires safe, timely deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations and company standards. Pay starts at $28.50 per hour, with Monday–Friday shifts starting at 4am or 11pm.

Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL experience, clean MVR, and ability to pass DOT drug screening and background checks are required. DOT/FMCSA knowledge and ELD/TMS familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Follow yard, terminal, and customer operating procedures.

The above stated pay is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws

Shifts: Monday - Friday 4am start and Monday - Friday 11pm start

Position Summary

The OTR Day Cab Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight between Maersk terminals The driver operates a day cab tractor, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations, company safety standards, and Maersk service expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a day cab tractor to transport freight safely and efficiently over assigned routes.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections and accurately complete required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety policies.
• Verify trailer, container, seal, and load information before movement.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations teams, customers, and terminal personnel regarding load status and potential delays.
• Maintain electronic logs and transportation records as required.
• Report equipment defects, accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
• Follow all yard, terminal, customer, and facility operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience (preferred).
• Clean driving record with acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background checks.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management systems.
