American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Erie, PA is seeking a skilled CDL-A Driver to join our Transportation team. You will transport metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Candidates must have a valid CDL-A with clean MVR and 18-speed manual experience, 2+ years, and experience with flatbed or roll-off trailers. Local routes with potential out-of-state work are available.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with a clean MVR and Medical.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission.
• Minimum of 2 years as a CDL-A Driver.
• Experience with flatbed, roll-off, lugger, or open top trailers.
• Physically fit and able to tarp 40 and 53yd bins.
• Familiarity with metal recycling processes is a plus.
• Ability to load and unload as required.

Responsabilités

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle transporting metal materials to and from designated locations.
• Safely loading/unloading and securing loads to prevent shifts during transit.
• Local runs with potential out-of-state work depending on qualification.
• Perform manual tarping when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain records.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and professional CDL-A Driver to join our Transportation team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.

What you’re responsible for

• Operatinga Class A commercial vehicleto transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipmentand secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Local runs, with opportunities for out of state runs depending on qualification and availability
• Performing manual tarping if necessary
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
• Completingaccurate and thorough records of deliveriesand any other required documentation

Qualifications

To join our team:

• You have a valid CDL A driver's license with a clean MVR and Medical
• You have experience driving 18 speedmanual transmission (required)
• You have a minimum of 2years of experience as an CDL-A Driver
• You have experience with flatbed, roll-off, lugger, or open top trailer
• You are physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
• You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
• You can perform loading and unloading activities as required
