Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a skilled CDL-A Driver to join the Transportation team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities.

You will operate a Class A vehicle, perform loading/unloading, tarping, and pre/post-trip inspections, while maintaining accurate delivery records. Local runs are primary, with occasional out-of-state trips based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean MVR and Medical.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission.
• Minimum of 2 years of CDL-A Driver experience.
• Experience with flatbed, roll-off, lugger, or open top trailer.
• Physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (asset).
• Able to perform loading/unloading activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locations.
• Safely load and unload materials and secure load for transit.
• Local runs with potential out-of-state trips based on qualification and availability.
• Perform manual tarping when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and professional CDL-A Driver to join our Transportation team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.

What you’re responsible for:

• Operatinga Class A commercial vehicleto transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipmentand secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Local runs, with opportunities for out of state runs depending on qualification and availability
• Performing manual tarping if necessary
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
• Completingaccurate and thorough records of deliveriesand any other required documentation

Qualifications

• You have a valid CDL A driver's license with a clean MVR and Medical
• You have experience driving 18 speedmanual transmission (required)
