Job summary

United Rentals is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers with a focus on safety, timeliness, and courteous service. You’ll be a company ambassador and, because we’re local, you’ll be home every night.

In this role you’ll drop off and pick up equipment, operate semi-trucks/trailers, maintain logs, and follow safety regulations. The position offers strong growth and the chance to advance your career at United Rentals.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys").
• Adhere to safety requirements including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.

• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

Compensation Range:

$27.80 - $40.00
