Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment safely and on time, serving trench safety needs. You will be home nightly as we are local.

Responsibilities include drop-off/pick-up, operating trucks and low boys, logging, and maintaining safety standards. You’ll build customer relationships while contributing to our growth and success.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Superior customer service and teamwork; strong verbal/written communication.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, including semi-trucks and trailers (low boys).
• Maintain drivers’ logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Operate boom trucks and cranes per manufacturer specs.
• Adhere to safety requirements and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Must also be able to operate boom trucks and cranes in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements
