Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers in a safe, timely and courteous manner. You’ll represent the company and be home nightly, interacting with customers on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include drop-offs and pickups, operating construction equipment per DOT rules, maintaining logs and completing pre-trip inspections, and identifying additional equipment needs for customers. A strong safety record is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.

• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") per CDL-A.
• Adhere to safety requirements including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

What you'll do:

• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety
