Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver in Melbourne, FL to deliver equipment to customers safely and efficiently. You will interact with customers as a company ambassador and be home most nights, supporting the world’s largest equipment rental provider.

You’ll operate trucks/low-boys, adhere to safety rules, maintain logs, and look for opportunities to suggest additional equipment or supplies. Join a team recognized for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience preferred.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver equipment to customers safely and on time.
• Operate construction equipment and comply with DOT classifications.
• Maintain driver’s logs and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed at all times.
• Identify additional equipment or supplies customers may need.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

What you'll do:

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:
