Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking delivery drivers to support food distribution across the United States. The role offers an average annual pay around $91,000 with a hiring bonus of up to $2,500 for drivers with 6+ months of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 6+ months commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL-A
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and background check
• Pass road test
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one
• Ability to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally
• Functions as a team member within the department and performs duties to serve the company
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and ensures safety Standards
• Reports safety issues or repairs required
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Reports safety hazards and inspects trailer for proper loading
• Performs counts and checks customer invoices for loaded freight
• Documents required freight paperwork accurately
• Moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer
• Delivers customer orders according to route schedule
• Unloads products into designated storage areas
• Performs damage control checks and communicates with supervisor
• Checks paperwork and ensures legible records for freight
• Loads returns onto trailer and secures doors
• Locks/secur es tractor, trailer and freight
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per regulations
• Maintains clean tractor and loading dock area
• Closes out shift with all paperwork completed
• Performs other related duties as assigned
