Job summary

McLane is hiring CDL-A Delivery Drivers to move goods to major brands across America. Pay starts at $75,000+ with comprehensive benefits and a path to stable home time. You will drive, inspect, log deliveries, and unload at customer sites while meeting DOT rules and safety standards.

Required are a valid CDL-A, 21+ years old, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, plus strong English reading and comprehension for instructions and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles driving experience.
• Able to read, write and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer before and after trips and file DOT report as needed.
• Check bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer and comply with driving regulations and client-site maneuvering.
• Maintain driver log per DOT rules, document deliveries and temps.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
