Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to support its nationwide distribution network. You will inspect equipment, operate a tractor-trailer, and deliver products to customer premises with safety and compliance as priorities.

The role offers strong pay, day-one benefits, and the potential for over $100K for experienced drivers. Expect a four-day work week and no Saturday shifts, with comprehensive insurance and retirement supports provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and maintained.
• English reading/writing ability sufficient for safety and procedures.
• Minimum driving experience of 1 year or 50,000 miles.
• Must meet McLane MVR and risk rating standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate using DOT regulations and logs.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations, following regulations and safety standards.
• Inspect tractor-trailer and submit DOT inspection reports as needed.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT requirements.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers average $90,000 to $95,000 per year.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
