Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Washington to move and deliver products to customers. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers competitive pay from $65,000 to $110,000 per year, a training period of $55,000–$70,000, a $15,000 sign-on bonus where eligible, day-one medical/dental/vision, 401(k) and other benefits, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before/after trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination adhering to regulations and safely maneuvering on roads and customer premises.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, document delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $110,000 per year.
• $55k - $70k per year during the training period.

What You’ll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
