Job summary

BFS in Locust, NC is seeking a professional Delivery Driver to transport building materials to customer sites. You will operate vehicles over 26,000 pounds, follow DVIR/HOS rules, and support customers with loading and unloading, while keeping logs up to date.

Requirements include a Class A CDL, a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of delivery experience (2 years preferred), and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean MVR.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience; 2 years preferred.
• Able to read and speak English; basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Load or assist with loading and securing products for transport.
• Deliver orders to customer sites and position vehicle safely.
• Verify orders, maintain delivery logs and weights; ensure accuracy.
• Serve as customer liaison; resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform safety checks.
• Use handheld devices for DVIR/HOS when not driving.
• Maintain hours-of-service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• May handle credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operate a forklift or non-motorized equipment as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
