Role Overview

Delivery drivers play a vital role in the food supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products while building customer relationships. The Driver Trainee role is entry-level, focusing on learning freight hauling and operating tractor-trailers, assisting experienced drivers, and performing safety and delivery duties.

Responsibilities
  • Complete Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver training programs
  • Assist driver trainers with deliveries
  • Perform safety checks and inspections according to DOT regulations
  • Ensure proper loading, secure freight, and accurate paperwork
  • Deliver orders, unload products, and verify deliveries with customers
  • Handle returns, damages, and complete logs as per regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL A license and meet licensing requirements
  • At least 21 years old
  • Clean MVR for past 3 years
  • Pass drug test, background check, road test, and obtain DOT health card
  • Ability to lift and move freight weighing 10-90 pounds
