JOB SUMMARY

To serve our customers by safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse by driving a tractor trailer to various customers and properly delivering and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unload products from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, in all weather conditions, placing them in designated customer storage areas according to specifications and handling product according to work methods, including scanning during delivery.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and timely, including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, and invoices. Report damages and shortages promptly.
• Meet all food safety protocols, maintain sanitary conditions in vehicles and warehouse, and ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent cross contamination.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with customers through courteous service and clear communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent, plus one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor trailer driving school accepted as equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe lifting/delivery practices. Skilled in long-distance driving, communication, problem-solving, and product delivery. Able to operate various vehicles and equipment, read/write English, perform basic math, and organize work independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull 350 pounds, climb in/out of vehicles, reach, bend, and twist. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to various weather conditions, moving parts, confined spaces, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and variable start times are required.
