Job summary
US Foods is seeking a full-time delivery driver in the Austin, TX area. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4 days a week (potentially 5), start times 12:00 AM–2:00 AM, 40–45 hours per week. Pay is $32.80 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance and more.
Responsibilities include safely driving to customers, unloading products, verifying deliveries, handling payments when applicable, and maintaining safety inspections. Must have CDL A and meet FMCSA requirements.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have valid CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
- Min 6 months commercial driving (any industry) or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
- Manual transmission experience preferred; may be required at some locations.
- Ability to read/communicate in English; able to understand signs and reports.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet delivery times.
- Unload products with equipment or by hand and place in storage areas.
- Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures.
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
- Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
