Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver in Mobile, AL. You will deliver food products to customers, unload heavy cases, and use a ramp and two-wheeler. Day shifts keep you home every day, with routes starting early in the morning.

Expect strong home time, weekly pay, and a competitive pay range. You will be required to pass a drug test and background check and must maintain a clean driving record in compliance with DOT standards.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL License at hire.
• Must read/write/communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record per DOT standards.
• Must be registered with the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to customers, including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and more.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs.
• Operate a ramp and two-wheeler during shifts.
• Be home daily with day shifts/local routes.

CDL A Delivery Driver

823 Dumaine Rd, Mobile AL Trailer Drop

Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! In this position, you will be building relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. Day shifts and local routes mean you'll be home every day. You'll be required to unload cases up to 100 lbs, and you'll be using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Schedule

• Start time: 4:00 am - until work until the route is finished

Pay

Drivers average $68,000 - $100,000 /year

• Guaranteed minimum of $1,350/week
• Daily base pay, plus component pay
• Paid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
