Job summary

Tindell's Building Materials is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Knoxville, TN. This role delivers building materials to local job sites, supports yard operations, and ensures loads are secure. Home daily with local routes and a strong benefits package.

Qualified candidates have a CDL-A with a clean driving record, at least 6 months of driving experience, and the ability to pass a DOT drug screen and physical. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and safely transport building materials and unload orders to job sites.
• Conduct final checks on delivery orders for accuracy and secure loads for safe transit.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and operate vehicles in full compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Assist yard workers, forklift operators, and customers between delivery assignments.
• Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor when communicating with clients on-site.

What We're Looking For

• License: Valid CDL-A driver's license with an insurable driving record.


• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of truck driving experience (lumber or building materials experience is a plus!).


• Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.


• Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, customer service, and a positive attitude. Manual labor is involved including some help with loading/unloading materials.
