$22/hour and up based on experience.

BASIC FUNCTION: Delivers materials to job site, inspects, and maintains truck, reports shortages, and claims to Material Manager and assists in loading and storing of materials. *Please note this position does require lifting and bending daily.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promptly completes deliveries and returns to store in a timely manner
  • Works on yard to assist customers between delivery assignments
  • Assists yard workers in unloading and storing returned merchandise
  • Assists forklift operators with building delivery loads
  • Acts with a sense of urgency to provide prompt service to customers
  • Relays messages sent by customers during jobsite deliveries
  • Makes final check of delivery orders for accuracy
  • Obtains approval on all loads prior to departure
  • Delivers and unloads orders to customer's satisfaction
  • Accurately records merchandise returns and completes required paperwork
  • Organizes and secures loads for safe transport
  • Drives safely on yard observing posted speed limits
  • Maintains safety devices in good working order
  • Wears safety equipment and seat belts as directed
  • Operates truck within all DOT guidelines
  • Assists with housekeeping in yard & warehouse
  • Submits pre-trip inspection forms in a timely manner
  • Makes a neat & clean presentation of material delivered to jobsites
  • Cooperatively follows instructions from supervisor
  • Presents a friendly and professional demeanor

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:

Valid operator's license and endorsement required to operate truck (CDL-A)

Ability to pass drug screen and DOT physical

Insurability for driving

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma

EXPERIENCE:

6 months experience driving truck (prefer lumber experience & experience with hauling oversized loads)
