Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a reliable Class A CDL Delivery Driver in Hermiston, OR (Yard) to safely transport building materials and provide excellent customer service. You will operate heavy vehicles, load and unload, secure cargo, and ensure on-time deliveries while complying with DOT regulations.

Job requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 1 year of delivery experience, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card within 5 days.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Must be at least 21 years old and have valid driver's license.
Valid Class A CDL required and 1 year of delivery driving experience.
Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card within 5 days.
Acceptable MVR with fewer than 5 moving violations in 5 years.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

Safely transport and deliver products to customer locations per schedule.
Load/unload and secure cargo for safe transportation.
Verify order accuracy against invoices and shipping documents.
Complete delivery documentation including mileage and weights.
Serve as primary contact with customers during deliveries and provide excellent service.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain DOT records.
