Job summary

Performance Food Group in Cumberland, MD is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to fulfill intrastate and interstate routes, delivering food and related products directly to customers. The driver will be the face of the company, ensuring timely, accurate deliveries and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Meet licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Possess or obtain DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and coworkers to answer questions accurately and promptly.
• Operate as a team member to support company goals and safety.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT regulations and ensure tractor/trailer meet safety standards.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Verify delivery items with customers and obtain signatures.
• Load/unload freight and assist with paperwork and logistics.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service records and keep equipment clean and secure.
• Complete all duties as assigned by management.
