Job summary

Sysco’s SYGMA Columbus team is seeking delivery drivers to transport products from the warehouse to customers, loading and unloading per invoices and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience required.
• Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.
• Food and/or beverage delivery experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established guidelines (e.g., DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, invoices) and submitted timely.
• Ensures food safety protocols are met and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor/trailer and warehouse.
• Develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
