Job summary

McLane is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers to move, supply, and provide for America's favorite brands. With a 130+ year track record, we offer industry-leading pay, strong client relationships, and a commitment to safety that helps keep you home more often.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age and valid CDL-A license.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Verify Bill of Lading accuracy for off-hour deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer and apply knowledge of driving regulations.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
