Job summary

McLane in the United States is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products for national brands, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will inspect tractors/trailers, maintain logs, and deliver to customer locations while upholding DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role offers competitive pay of $70,000-$80,000 per year, Day 1 benefits including medical/dental/vision, and additional perks such as a 401(k) profit sharing plan and more.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid CDL-A license and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient for job tasks and safety communications.
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before/after trips and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Inspect bills of lading and keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations adhering to regulations and safely maneuver on roads and customer sites.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT rules and document delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
