Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customer locations. You will inspect vehicles, comply with DOT rules, and ensure accurate delivery documentation while supporting on-time schedules.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required and in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips.
• Verify bill of lading accuracy and handle keys during off-hours.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely and comply with DOT regulations.
• Maintain driver logs and document deliveries accurately.
• Unload deliveries at customer sites.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
