Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move and deliver goods to customers across the region. You will inspect vehicles and loads, maintain DOT-compliant logs, and ensure accurate bills of lading during deliveries.

The role requires a CDL-A, at least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer experience, and solid reading/writing English. Benefits start Day 1 and include comprehensive medical plans and potential 401(k) options.

• CDL-A license required
• 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a functional level
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy for off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of driving regulations and maneuvering the vehicle.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt and product temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.


• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.


• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.


• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.


• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age


• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)


• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience


• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications


• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
