Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Opelika, AL, is hiring local truck drivers with a valid CDL-A. You will start and end at the Opelika distribution center, run store routes to Birmingham, Atlanta, South Georgia and Southern Tennessee, and enjoy home daily schedules with paid training for new CDL holders.

Benefit from no-touch freight, slip-seat trucks, and a performance bonus. Training pay of $650 per week accompanies a pathway to growth and health/dental/vision coverage after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL, 21 or older.
• New drivers: 120+ hours at an accredited CDL school; experienced: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months.
• Max 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years, no DUI/DWI in 5 to 10 years.
• Pass hair and urine drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate local routes starting and ending at the Opelika distribution center.
• Home daily with paid training for new CDL holders.
• No touch freight; slips seat trucks; some wait time at stores and on backhauls.
